The ModuLoader Pocket Shield was conceived by Chris Fry, owner of MDTS Training, and was co-developed with, and manufactured by Raven Concealment Systems.
The Pocket Shield is a flexible, modular platform which allows an individual to securely and discreetly carry a small defensive implement (such as a firearm, pistol magazine, fixed-blade or folding knife, flashlight, canister of pepper spray, expandable baton or other impact weapon, multi-tool, etc) inside the front pocket of jeans or dress pants without visible pocket clips or printing.
The Pocket Shield is shaped to ride comfortably in the front pocket of most pants, and provides consistent orientation within the pocket to facilitate quick-access and deployment of an individual’s light or weapon. The platform is made from flexible, high-strength polymer that conforms to the shape of the user’s body for all-day carry comfort; yet it is rigid enough to remain anchored securely inside the pocket during strenuous movement or weapon deployment.
The unique mounting slots on the Pocket Shield allow users to attach nearly any small knife sheath or pocket holster to the platform at a wide range of angles. It can even be trimmed by the user to facilitate achieving a full fighting grip on the weapon or to fit in smaller pockets.
The Pocket Shield not only provides a stable platform – it masks the profile of whatever is attached to it. This is especially important for those who must wear dress pants or other garments made with thin, clingy material.
Prototypes and pre-production units of the ModuLoader Pocket Shield have been tested and fielded both domestically and abroad in a variety of non-permissive environments, with excellent results. This simple tool is a must-have for anyone conducting low-profile/no-profile missions.
Like all RCS products, the ModuLoader Pocket Shield is 100% U.S.-made, and is covered by our unconditional lifetime guarantee.

If my wife saw I paid $30 with shipping for this piece of plastic she would kick my tail.. That said it provides a platform for keeping your gear in the same place all the time or having it ready to go if you have to some place at the last second. The plastic keeps it light weigh and flexible but it's also not a rigid platform like light metal for something heavy like a bigger knife.

I bought the ModuLoader Pocket shield for my Gerber knife and surefire flashlight that I carry everywhere. It was a mess trying to loop both to the pocket of my jeans.
The Moduloader does as advertised. It keeps them concealed and the individual notches allows me to space out the light and knife. Both are easy to reach and deploy

I was a little concerned about it fitting in all of my jeans and shorts, being as i am warior sized at 5'5" and a 30" waist pants, but it still fits perfectly and holds surprisingly well. My Surefire backup and an extra mag stay in place all day and it's more comfortable than having a mag carrier and everything else trying to hide it from prying eyes. Great stuff!

Shield is a flexible, durable plastic that makes it very comfortable to carry around. Like anything Raven Concealment seems to make.
The shield is an amazing complement to anything with a pocket clip, but you need to think through what you plan to put on it and where. I have mine in my left pocket, holding a small Fenix light, a resqme (attached via a key ring), regular size can of Mace, my Kershaw-Emerson, and a comb. The shield sits on the inside of my pocket, everything is behind it but the Mace, which helps provide a spot for my wallet in front of the shield.
Emerson openers do in fact work very well with this product. You need to think about your placement though. I had trouble putting my knife all the way to the right so the blade would contact my pocket (so it doesn't open accidentally); it was hard to reach. I ended up clipping my knife at the top middle of the shield actually, and the comb I really only put next to it to act as a stop for the blade.
That said, I feel a lot more comfortable about my EDC now because everything is indexed, and it's out of sight. I basically forget it's there during the day, but when I need anything, it's no problem at all to get it out, and it's a lot quicker with the plastic as opposed to cloth.

I have two of these. They do work to clip knives and flashlights to, but it is not very easy to deploy the tools with one hand, which is why I did not give it five stars. The other thing that bothered me, is that you can easily see the outline of the shield itself, on most pants. It would be cool if these were made out of some sort of material that would retain it's shape when bent. Perhaps some sort of wire frame, that was then coated in plastic? I think that they would work better if there was some way to sort of shape and mold them to your pocket, and turn the edges in.
I did mount my mini-phantom for the Glock G42 to one, with the quick-mount straps attached over it. I then trimmed the moduloader shield even with the bottom of the holster. This set up works pretty nice. I can go from strong side carry to pocket carry quickly, with little or no printing.

I think overall it could be a little thicker(I'm talking 32nds here), and the catch points flare out a bit to catch better, when I draw my fixed blade I have to pull forward so it catches better. I would like to fix a holster for front pocket carry to see how it handles. It took about 4 adjustments over the course of the day to find my sweet spot ,after I found it I was extremely happy, I carry a fixed blade and a light, it keeps them in the same place. I am very happy with this product. I was wrestling with my kids and my knife fell out, this has increased the safety tremendously.

This shield is thin plastic and does not even hold my flsahlight or knife in place. They slide all over the place. As for a gun if it will not even handle a knife proper what is the point of even trying a gun. It is way to thin to attempt to conceal but this causes it to not work for me. I want a refund!!
No problem on the refund. Customer service will be reaching out to you soon if we haven't had contact already.

I work in IT at a University and carry a knife to open the computer boxes with. My problem is that my knife kept wearing through the outer layer of my pants. I found this product and it looks like it is going to take care of the problem as there is zero printing.
Thank you Raven Concealment Systems for making this product. I bought two one for each front pocket.

This works quite well for it's intended purpose. I use it to carry a flashlight and a spare G19 mag, using a Blue Force Gear Ten Speed single mag pouch. It allows them to ride easily in my pocket, but I can draw them with no problem. Printing is not an issue, it just looks like a wallet or cell phone in the front pants pocket.
