The VanGuard 2 is a minimalist IWB holster. Unlike traditional IWB holsters, the VG2 covers only the trigger guard of your weapon. This unique design eliminates the bulk of a traditional holster, while providing a level of safety and security not attainable by simply sticking a pistol in the waistband of your pants.
The VanGuard 2 can be used multiple ways:
First, it can be used (without the lanyard or the strut and soft-loop assembly) as a trigger guard cover for storage and transportation safety. This prevents foreign objects from finding their way inside the trigger guard and potentially pressing the trigger, while still allowing the slide to be cycled and the magazine released. This gives users the ability to clear the weapon without the danger of a negligent discharge.
Next, it can be used with the static-line tether for on-body (IWB) or off-body carry (such as inside a bag, purse, briefcase, vehicle console, etc). This allows the weapon to be safely carried with a chambered round without fear of a negligent discharge, while still being rapidly deployable. The holster can also be removed by catching the nose of the holster and prying it off. This allows one-hand deployment of the weapon even if the tether or attachment point fails to remove the holster.
Finally, the user can attach the strut and soft-loop assembly to create a stable, secure, IWB holster. The complete system is fully adjustable for ride-height and cant, is tuckable for maximum concealment, and fully ambidextrous. Please be aware, we do not advise attempting to re-holster the weapon while the VG2 is inside your clothing. You should remove the VG2 and install it on the weapon outside of your waistband.

Bought this for a friend who doesn't like wearing full holsters while carrying concealed. Now this is his preferred method of carry. Like all products I've seen from Raven Concealment, this is exceptionally well designed and well made. It works with a variety of carry positions, and is snug enough to be secure without sacrificing draw speed. Highly recommend for those looking for a versatile minimalist approach.

On the recommendation from a friend of mine in Law Enforcement, I ordered a VG-2 in wolf gray to give it a try. The VG-2 is the only holster he uses while carrying off-duty. I have been very happy with my existing Zero-bulk holster, but always willing to try something new to see if it is an improvement.
Customer Service: It was shipped the day after I ordered and arrived 3 days later. The communication from the company is clear and concise, but does not blow up your e-mail. I consider their CS to be excellent and that tracks with the other ratings.
Price: The price is a little on the high side when compared to other low profile, zero-bulk holsters. With tax/shipping tacked on, it is more than double the one I had been using. That was part of the reason I did not rate 5 stars. You will have to judge if the price to value is fair.
Product: The product is very good. I like the fact that it is US made. The retention is surprisingly good, more so that I would have expected based on pictures or comments, I have no concern that my weapon will come out of the holster inadvertently. The instructions are clear, if not a little verbose (anything that has to do with firearms has to be). The snap is a pain in the A--. I hope it will become easier in time and that the snap will break in before the rubber strap breaks. That is an existing concern and the other part of the reason for my rating of 4 stars. I read the instructions regarding the "Pull the Dot" snap, however, when the holster is on your belt there is not a lot of grip area to unsnap with the "pull the dot" method. The instructions say it will take a while to break in so I am giving it the benefit of the doubt.
One small advantage that my other zero-bulk "holster" has over the VG-2, is that I don't necessarily have to wear a belt. If I am wearing athletic shorts, the VG-2 is not stable enough to use This is not a huge concern and I am not knocking the VG-2 for this, it was designed to be used with a belt which is how I carry anyways, 95% of the time.
Bottom Line: I like it. It is very comfortable and more secure than I had expected. It is made in the USA and the customer service is excellent.

I doubt that Raven Concealment knows this, but I have been buying these holsters for years now. I have never had one single issue out of any of them. This last holster I ordered, I did so in "Wolf Grey", and requested special care be taken with the holster. I asked if they would switch the clip to the left side (leftie here), and possibly loctite the screws for me. I communicated that I would be more than happy to pay extra for this service (as expected). Fast forward a week, and I received my holster in my requested carry orientation with the screws secured. I was/am completely blown away with this fantastic United States based company. The holster is phenomenal, the customer service is stellar, and their mission is clear, admirable, and extremely well-executed. I have and will continue to bring more business to these wonderful people. I am about to put this holster through the ringer in a defensive shooting class, and I have absolutely no reservations. Thank you so much RC; you all have a customer for life!

This is my first holster of this style for my Glock 19. The holster is still fairly new to me. One time while driving I tried to adjust its position and my Glock slipped out of the holster's grip about halfway. I did not let this discourage my review of this product. One must take extra precaution when using this holster. Normal walking and everyday carry has proven to be without problems.
In conclusion, I would recommend this trigger guard holster to experienced concealed carriers.

This holster is a favorite go-to for its safe, minimalist approach to concealed carry...barely there...just you and your weapon held closely to your body. The cant and butt angle of the weapon is superior for concealment and ease of draw. Now Raven needs to build a model that will fit my G43 and earlier Glock generations that are in my stable.

This holster works. Like many reviews it is a little difficult to use at first. The snap is tight but it has to be. Im a portly fellow so appendix carry doesnt work for me but this still works great for a four oclock position. This isnt a range holster but works for conceal carry.

I am extremely impressed and satisfied with the Vanguard Holster System. My father purchased one for his Glock 19 as well. It is comfortable, lightweight and you don't even know you're wearing it. Trigger covering guard is great for when the gun is in the console of my truck. I can wear it with a regular shirt and jacket or tuck my shirt in for work without it being noticed. Wonderful holstering system!

I bought this holster for my Glock 26 and I forgot it was on while I was driving. Easy to draw and with a little practice it's easy to reholster. And it's a bonus that I can use my glock 19 with it also.

Love this holster. Makes it easy to conceal carry, comfortable, while still safe. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a safe, effective conceal carry holster.

This product is near perfect. SO comfortable compaired to fulled sized holsters and much more concelable. Only concern is the VERY slight poltentiol for the gun to pop out of the clip if for insance it hits the leg bone when carrying appendix. This problem only exists for appendix. If this is addressed i dont see why this mini holster wouldnt courner the market. But untill then even a 1% chance that it will pop off IS TO MUCH.
